nondisclosure agreements. that's because a manuscript was not submitted for a pre- publication security review. >> it doesn't matter if there's classified information in the book. if there's an obligation to submit it for pre-pub review you have to abide by it because you have to give the government the opportunity to see if in fact this is classified information. >> reporter: he says the book tells a story and does not have classified information. >> i'm not talking secrets or tactics. i don't get into it. but i try to the give the reader a sense of what it's like to be there. >> reporter: the book "no easy day" hit store shelves last week and it's already a best- seller. bissonnette says most of the book's proceeds will be donated to charity. tomorrow is 11 years since the september 11th attacks. here in the district, the washington national cathedral will offer prayers during its regularly scheduled services. president barack obama will attend a private ceremony at

the pentagon and vice president joe biden will speak at the united flight 93 memorial in shanksville, pennsylvania. in new york city for the first time, no politicians have been invited to the ceremony at ground zero. that's in part because of tensions between new york and new jersey lawmakers over who is responsible for costs of the yet-to-open 9/11 museum. as the nation prepares to remember those lives lost, we are also remembering the first responders who got sick after sifting through the toxic rubble. 11 years later the federal government may finally recognize that people who worked or lived near the world trade center after 9/11 got cancer as a result. according to "new york times," an announcement acknowledging this link could be made any day now. back to the presidential campaign. the lighter side of life on the trail, president obama's feeling the love of supporters in florida. >> literally. then thousands a is even coming

9:15 am
what's on tap. the doctor joins us live. thank you for joining us, dr. oz. >> thank you. >> one of the highlights is the appearance of the first lady this week. first, let's talk about what you have going on today where you're going to be talking about a popular fat burner. >> well, it's like a tsunami that swept the country this past year. over the summer we took an opportunity to do the biggest experiment we have been able to accomplish. we got 100 people to take either a fake version of this product or the real product. and we saw the results and i'm going to present all that this afternoon. i'm also going to share exactly how you would take it where you can get it from so it's safe and i want to point out the fact that a lot of people use my name, picture, put it next to a product and try to sell it to you. i don't sell anything! if someone is trying to do that, they're duping you. you're better off to buy high quality products accordingly. >> i'm glad you're going to be talking about that.
9:16 am
i wasn't aware it was a big issue but i have indeed seen your face in supermarkets and what have you attached to vitamins or supplements or things like that. is that a big issue going on a lot? >> it's a huge issue. it's remarkable how much money folks are making off of what we talk about. listen, i'm honored that people trust what i say and we do speak openly about things that we think will help people's health but the reason we don't sell products is it's a conflict of interest. i want to talk honestly about what's going on. you don't want your doctor telling you to buy stuff. so when people steal my picture and put it on the web and we'll show you how easy it is to happen, we'll have people on the show who talk honestly about what they have done with my name and likeness, it's transformative. >> tomorrow you talk about restarting your body. >> the big aim this year is to get people stuck in a rut who think their best years are behind them and get to you realize you can get out of that rut so we are going to help you transform your life. we start off at ellis island where so many americans came and end up in the deserts on

9:18 am
did with the 15-minute physicals. and it turns out that washington, not as healthy as we might like. were you surprised by that? >> i was a bit surprised. there are so many wonderful resources. we found the highest rate of obesity in the country. we have been doing these free 15-minute physicals all over the place. of the 800 people who came to spend time with us, we were able to find lots of health issues they weren't aware of and we gave the record card to the city of washington. this is the year to do it. this is the time when we can change our communities, make it easier to do the right things. you have to fight for your health. as we cover with first lady michelle obama, it's a national security crisis if we don't fix our health. it has to be on the front burner for everybody, including the elected officials. >> we look forward to the new season beginning today. we'll see you again soon. >> stay well, tony. >> you, too. >> and, of course, season 4 of the dr. oz show begins at 4:00 this afternoon right here on
9:19 am
fox 5. wendy williams begins a new season at 10:00 following this show immediately following. and then ricky lake is back on tv for the first time in years. her show is at 11 a.m. >> a web search for a popular actress could harm your computer, coming up. >> first let's check in with holly. >> reporter: i feel like air traffic control right now between all these butterflies. they are definitely up and at 'em and flying all around in the flight hall where we are live this morning. it's the wings of fancy exhibit at brookside gardens in wheaton and they are gearing up for the closing of this exhibit as they get ready for that, they're also getting ready for a special event for children on saturday. we'll tell you about that and more live later on "fox 5 morning news." stay with us. anncr: this casino's's in west virginia.

i've never written a fan letter before, but you've done what i thought was impossible: you made good-for-you, gluten-free cereals in a whole bunch of yummy flavors. cinnamon chex and honey nut chex are two of our favorites. when my husband rob found the chocolate one, we were in cereal heaven. the only problem is, with so many great flavors you're making it very hard to choose. so thanks. from your fans, the mcgregor family. 9:29 am
>> i'm a wonderful loving person in the world. plenty of sunshine. i'm going to share the love with you right now. a ridge of high pressure and we are going to be looking good. not a lot of activity across the country. a little weather to the southwest and northwest just a bit to the border of the dakotas and canada but other than that, we are doing very well. east coast ridge of high pressure in control look at this we have no clouds, we have nothing just sunshine and bright skies for you today. now, cooler conditions however because we have a cold front that moved through saturday and after it brought the storms it brought a cooler influx of air and we have a northwesterly wind flow today. 66 degrees this hour at reagan national airport, 64 at baltimore, 67 at annapolis. and 65 at fredericksburg to the south. cumberland cooler at 59. we have 63 degrees at martinsburg. national temperatures also a little cooler than they have been. we have temperatures in the 50s, a few 40s in some of our areas to the far northwest as well but temperatures overall
9:30 am
as a result of the jet stream seeing this cooler influx of air that's settling in. so for us we are actually headed to the 70s today. the upper 70s pretty much everywhere. so you will see the sunshine and it will be drier as well as cooler than over the course of the past week or so. so pretty cool night tonight and then for tomorrow, i mean, for this afternoon, i should say, no shortage of sunshine, ridge of high pressure is going to rule all along the mid- atlantic and into the east. that's going to hold us through into most of the week. for today 78 degrees then. winds will be gusting from the northwest at 25 miles an hour so be prepared for that. and if you take a look at tonight, clear skies and light winds, 55 degrees. the winds will start to diminish somewhat only from the north at 5 to 10. however, in the western suburbs, in the northwest, i really anticipate the temperatures will actually probably be in the low 50s, anywhere from about 50 to 53 degrees. here's a look at your fox 5 accuweather seven-day forecast. sunshine right across the board. we see a cloud or two heading into the weekend and that's because we have a cold front
9:31 am
moving in. and that could possibly bring us a few spotty showers into the weekend. nothing that's going to be a washout at all. but we are looking at temperatures rising as well by the time we get to hump day on wednesday. we are sliding ever so slowly back into the low 80s. and we'll be 84 degrees by the time we hit saturday. let's check back in with the anchors now. back to you. >> thank you. well, you know, it doesn't happen ton of where a rookie lives up to the lofty hype for the media and the fans but it did. robert griffin iii helped the redskins to a 40-32 win over the saints in their own dome. let's get some reaction from the sports junkies at "106.7 the fan." >> yes, how are you doing? >> what's up, guys? >> great. >> before we get going, listen to this soundbyte we ran earlier. take a listen to rg iii when he talked about why he was so composed leading up to this game. >> my mind was really clear going into this game. you know, i left my phone back
9:32 am
in virginia, not on purposes, but, you know, i -- so i was not distracted at all. really just sat in my room and watched some tv, had time to think about things and the one thing i don't do is try to stress about anything or try to go out and try to prove anything to anyone. >> so guys, i ask you, is there now a ban on cell phones for all redskins players since it worked out so well? >> i guess there is a ban on taking your uniform off before you go in front of the press. >> that was a rookie mistake. >> that was like a "saturday night live" bit. >> what a goofy move was that. >> doesn't take his unioff. >> that's a fashion faux pas but it was classic and indicative of a rookie, maybe the only thing he did wrong yesterday. >> also he was slapping fives with all the redskins fans after the game and one saints
9:33 am
fan who moved his hand. he started laughing at rg iii. another rookie mistake. [ laughter ] >> we have to knock him for something. >> here's the thing. he didn't do anything wrong on the field. i think it's a-plus all around. he tripped one time but basically, threw the ball tremendously well, great decisions. there were times when we thought he would run and he still looked down field and completed passes. amazing performance. >> when he tripped on the ball, covered it up, wasn't fumbling, didn't pull a rex grossman, he had ball security throughout that game which is great for the redskins. >> and he stood tall in the pocket. that throw to garcon, a lot of people think quarterbacks will run out of the pocket. he stood tall and delivered the pass. they didn't have a reception like that all last season. there was a lot of yards after the catch but rg iii took a major hit on that throw. really impressive. >> you mentioned his decision- making. i said earlier, i'm very impressed by his poise staying in the pocket and taking the
9:34 am
hits and everything but also the decision-making, because if there is anywhere where you think there will be some problems for a rookie, it's making decisions, making wrong decisions and throwing interceptions. >> he never threw the ball up for grabs which is something that the previous quarterbacks always did. >> right. he seemed to know where the linebackers were. he had a grasp of the offense. there was just no rookie jitters that you would expect. really it's a new era. i think we can look forward to performances like this in the future. >> the analysts always talk about the game speeding up in the regular season versus the preseason? it doesn't look like it sped up for him. looked like it slowed down so he was able to make the quick decisions. >> shanahan didn't really show much in the preseason. and you can talk about the game speeding up in general for rookie quarterbacks but that defense, they are not used to guys like rg iii. he was able to slide out of the pocket sometimes and when he takes off, he is faster than everybody else. >> one thing, too, jason you talked about it a couple of hours ago, we are not really talk about the redskins defense
9:35 am
today. maybe we should too. because they played out of their minds again only giving up essentially 24 points, 32, two-point conversion and really the defense, which was much maligned coming in especially the back four, stepped up and confused drew brees. i was surprised by this. >> when you can hold drew brees it 50% completion on his passes, you have done an amazing job as defense. kudos for that. >> i think they batted down four balls too. they had them out of rhythm. the dbs played great. cedric griffin played out of his mind. so really overall other than the blocked punt, that was blais cloudy the only blemish on the -- that was basically the only blemish on the team. >> the saints committed 12 penalties, only ran the ball 10 times, they looked out of sync. not having sean payton was a
9:36 am
factor. >> now the trick is string back- to-back wins. it's something we haven't done in a long time. i'm sorry, i know it's only one win. and i know that we have struggled against the rams. but it's the rams! we should beat the rams next week! we should be 2-0! i'm not predicting super bowl or play- offs, but i'm predicting 2-0, baby!! >> here's a tweet real quickly, hometown fans treating me like family after a great team effort but now i'm great back at it with the hashtag on to the next one. so maybe he is with you eb thinking about the rams already on a monday. >> he is a mature guy. wise beyond his years even though he has wacky figurines in his locker and wears funny socks he is a smart measured guy so he is ready for the rams. >> how about a sweater? >> twitter is the greatest! >> we love twitter. >> you can have the figurines as long as you win.
9:37 am
then you're just eccentric. >> exactly. >> whole new junkies here. >> thank you. >> see you. >> i think even the top five guys are waiting for us to bash the team. >> no bashing. >> should be today. >> be happy. we'll take it. take it in stride, on to the next one. >> on to the rams. >> dave ross, thank you very much. >> sarah, back to you. coming up next, find out which hollywood couple reportedly got married and season two of the x factor kicks off. hear what britney says she is looking for in contestants next in the "buzz bin." >> we'll be right back. anncr: this casino's i in west virginia.
